By default, files are displayed in a secure, view-only experience to discourage unauthorized saving. However, you can enable our "Pay-to-Download" feature to monetize your content. Simply connect your Stripe account, set a price, and visitors can securely purchase and download the original, un-watermarked file.

LinkVault integrates directly with Stripe Connect. You link your own Stripe account from the Settings page. When a user purchases your file, the funds are transferred directly to your Stripe account, minus a standard platform fee.

LinkVault supports PDF, images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, SVG), audio (MP3, WAV, OGG), video (MP4, WebM), documents (DOCX, PPTX), and spreadsheets (XLS, XLSX, CSV) for in-browser viewing. Other file types can be uploaded and shared, but viewing behavior may vary by browser.

We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), plus digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Samsung Pay, Link, and Revolut Pay. We also support Bancontact (Belgium), BLIK (Poland), EPS (Austria), Klarna (buy now, pay later), and regional wallets like Kakao Pay, Naver Pay, and PAYCO. Available methods depend on your location and are processed securely through Stripe.

Choose a monthly or yearly plan, complete a secure checkout via Stripe, and your subscription activates instantly. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from your dashboard. Yearly plans include a significant discount compared to monthly billing.

New uploads are paused once you reach your plan's storage limit. You can upgrade to a higher plan for more storage, or free up space by removing old links. Your existing links will continue to work normally.

All files are served over HTTPS with encrypted storage (AES-256-GCM). Access is controlled via unique, hard-to-guess viewer links. You can add extra layers of protection: password-protected links, approval-based access, watermarks, and expiration dates to automatically disable sharing.

Yes. LinkVault provides enterprise-grade file protection with AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS encryption in transit, multi-layered access controls (passwords, OTP, expiration, approval workflows), and advanced anti-capture technology including anti-print, DevTools detection, clipboard protection, and DOM tamper-proofing. We do not use the term "bank-level" because that implies certifications like SOC 2 and ISO 27001 — but our technical protections exceed those of most file sharing platforms on the market.

LinkVault makes unauthorized copying significantly harder through view-only delivery, dynamic watermarking (with IP and timestamp), anti-print controls, screenshot deterrents, DevTools detection, and canvas API protection. However, no web-based viewer can fully prevent screen recording or camera capture. We believe in transparency about this limitation — our goal is to raise the cost of misuse high enough that it is not worth the effort for the vast majority of recipients.

Traditional file sharing tools focus on storage and collaboration — they hand over the file and hope for the best. LinkVault focuses on controlled delivery: view-only previews, encrypted storage, expiring links, dynamic watermarks, payment-gated access via Stripe, and detailed viewer analytics. You stay in control of your deliverables until the client pays or you decide to release them.

Yes! Business plan users can fully customize the viewer with their company name, logo, and brand colors. Your branding is displayed on every shared link, giving your recipients a professional, white-label experience. You can also set up a custom domain (e.g. share.yourcompany.com).

Yes. Business plan users can connect Slack or Discord webhooks to receive real-time notifications every time someone views a shared file — including viewer location, device info, and the specific link opened. Set it up in seconds from your Settings page.

Yes. Professional and Business plan users can generate API keys from the Settings page to access LinkVault programmatically. Authenticate with a simple Bearer token header to manage links and uploads via our REST API. Each account can have up to 5 active keys with full usage tracking. Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle — you will retain access until then, and no further charges will be made.
